Kuerner Farm ToursFor more than 70 years, the Kuerner Farm has been a major source of inspiration to Andrew Wyeth. Since his earliest painting of the farm in 1932 at the age of 15, Wyeth has found subjects in its people, animals, buildings and landscapes for more than 1,000 works of art. Educational tours departing from the museum are offered at timed intervals. Wednesday through Sunday. There is a charge per person in addition to museum admission.
Kuerner Farm Exhibition Coinciding with the opening of public tours to the Kuerner Farm, this exhibition tells the fascinating story of the historic farm and its residents that inspired Andrew Wyeth to create masterful works of art over more than seven decades. Installed in one of two new museum galleries, the exhibition features photographs, drawings, paintings and artifacts related to this extraordinary Brandywine Valley farm.
N.C. Wyeth House and Studio Tours The house where N.C. Wyeth raised his extraordinarily creative children and the studio in which he painted many of his memorable works of art have been restored to reflect their character in 1945, the year of the artist’s death. Educational tours departing from the museum are offered at timed intervals. Wednesday through Sunday; $3 per person in addition to museum admission.
Brandywine Heritage Galleries – ongoing exhibition
Paintings and drawings from the museum’s collection, including works by Howard Pyle, his students, members of the Wyeth family, and other distinguished American artists such as Jasper Cropsey, William Trost Richard, Maxfield Parrish, Harvey Dunn and Jessie Willcox Smith.
Andrew Wyeth Gallery – ongoing exhibition
Approximately 40 watercolor, dry brush and tempera paintings by Andrew Wyeth from various stages of his career, including some of his most recent works.
