Battle of Brandywine

September 23, 2001 Digital Photo by Seth Fox, Chadds Ford, PA Kodak DX3500 Firing from the skirmish lines. 18th century tactics included testing the metal of the troops by lining up opposite each other and firing volleys of musket balls at each other. The accuracy of the muskets made this practice less than lethal at this range, but it tested the courage and experience of the opposition.
