Cape May, New Jersey is a National Historic Landmark town filled with great old Victorian homes and mansions as well as some really nice new ones that are being built. Cape May makes a great sightseeing day trip if all you do is drive about the town, stop for lunch, stroll the shops and drive back, but there’s more you can do from whale watching to fishing, cruising on a tall ship (Schooner Yankee), kayaking, bike riding, golfing, and much more. You can even take the Cape May/Lewes ferry to Rehoboth and explore the Delaware beach town before heading north back to the Brandywine Valley which takes a little under two hours.
